Farol da Ponta da Ilha
🏛The iconic lighthouse at the southern tip of Pico Island, in operation since 1946. Walk the coastal path at sunset and watch the Atlantic stretch to the horizon.

An infinite view over the Atlantic, basalt stone and the silence of the sea.
Perched on top of the rock, with an infinite view over the Atlantic Ocean, with the islands of São Jorge and Terceira in the distance, the Adega de Cima da Rocha is the ideal place for those seeking stillness, a breathtaking landscape and a view that takes your breath away. It is a traditional Pico wine cellar, fully restored while preserving its essence: volcanic basalt, cryptomeria wood and the colour of the dragon tree. Outside, the terrace offers an infinite view over the blue of the Atlantic.
Days that feel longer. Nights that feel deeper. A version of yourself you forgot existed.
Fall asleep with the sea at your feet. The first sight each morning: the vast blue of the ocean and the sun rising on the horizon.
Breakfast on the terrace with no agenda. Local cheese, fresh bread, honey from the island bees. A coffee that tastes better because you have nowhere to be.
Lace up your boots and follow ancient paths through vineyards, coastal clifftops and forest trails. Pico Island rewards those who go slowly.
An afternoon contemplating the sea, a book, or a swim in the Atlantic waters. Whatever your choice, real rest requires a real setting.
Watch the sun set over the Atlantic from the terrace, painting the water and the silhouette of São Jorge and Terceira.
Far from any city, the night sky over Pico is extraordinary. Make the most of it.
“Pico is a wonder of lava and mystery!”
A love story between old walls and a new vision — preserving soul, adding life
A family wine cellar where our ancestors made wine and spent their summers. Built from basalt walls with an infinite view over the Atlantic.

Carried out by those who master the art of building stone walls, using ancient techniques. We rebuilt walls and the ceiling using traditional Azorean methods. Every stone was cleaned, catalogued and replaced in its original position.

All original elements of the house were preserved: basalt as stone and cryptomeria as wood. We restored the courtyard and the cistern was transformed into a terrace.

Furnished with traditional pieces combined with contemporary ones, the adega presents a unique result: a welcoming home with a breathtaking view.

From the terrace, from the bedroom window, on every walk — the views are never just scenery

From here, the Atlantic looks like it goes on forever. Some mornings, watching the light change on the water, it feels like it does.
